My podcast is of an airport scene. As the podcast is supposed to be sight specific I have created a podcast that would only make sense in an airport. There are different moments recorded within the airport allowing me to use different, interesting sounds to illustrate the scene I was drawing. I am telling people what to do and what to expect in an airport scenario. When the podcast is complete the sounds of the airport will be played over the existing recording.
My Script
This podcast is about your time in an airport. When you enter
the airport you will follow the signs to find your check in. They normally
correspond with the company you’re flying with. You will hand over your main
suitcase at the desk, but keep hold of your hand luggage. Next you will go
through security check-ins. You will bag any liquids in a see through bag,
remove any metal you may be wearing or carrying. This may include emptying your
pockets and taking your shoes off. These along with your main hand luggage are
all put in a tray to be scanned. You then walk through a metal detector gate.
If you’re lucky enough to go through without detection you can collect your
luggage and move on. However if metal is
detected you have to be searched. If you have a phobia of dogs be aware there
may be dogs there to detect drugs. Hopefully
they won’t stop you. If they do… well… good luck. After security you will go
through to an area with shops and restaurants where you can wait until your
flight is called. I’d suggest getting some food. My particular favourite would
be Weatherspoons. You may need to top up on some travel essentials, many of
which can probably be found in boots. Your flight will eventually be called and
you will make your way to the departure lounge, where you will wait until you
are asked to board.
